Harvey Krumpet connotes the feeling of being distraught through the use of simple story telling and basic istop motion. this can be seen in the grey colouring of the characters and the same face used for harvey, for instance, he only smiles once within the whole story, cannoting the feeling of being alone and distraught in the story, and that he is never truly happy. 
within this video, the artist is able to convey a feeling of horror. this can be seen within the narrators story, as well as the tone he uses. by keeping his voice monotonic, it is like he is reciting a sad memory to the audience, helping them feel as if they are there themselves with the use of simple black and white images. these images connote horror through the angles used as well as the clothing the focus of the image is wearing.
